Who we are
Kidilab is run by Adrien Martin, a sole proprietor based in France (French business registration number, SIREN, 537 492 787). Our address is 20 allée Alexandra David Neel, 33300 Bordeaux, France. You can reach us at contact@kidilab.com or through our contact page.
These terms apply when you use the English-language pages of our website and when you buy a scavenger hunt from us. By placing an order, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
Who can buy
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if it is higher, and able to enter into a contract.
- Our English-language website and kits are intended for customers located in the United States. We do not market them in Canada or in other countries.
- The website is made for parents and other adults. Children should not use it or place orders.
What you buy
You buy a personalized, printable scavenger hunt kit in PDF format. It includes up to 12 activities (riddles and challenges) that you choose, a story letter, hiding-spot clues, a treasure map, a diploma and party invitations, adapted to the theme and age group you choose. Nothing is shipped: you print the kit yourself.
The kit is generated from the details you enter, such as the children’s first names, the age group, the theme and your hiding spots. Before you pay, you can review a summary of your hunt, the story letter and a sample clue. Please check names and details carefully: we build the kit exactly from what you type.
Price and payment
- The price is $19.99 USD per kit, as shown before checkout. Sales tax may be added at checkout where required by law.
- Payment is made by card through Stripe, our payment provider. Apple Pay and Google Pay may be offered as card wallets. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your order is confirmed once Stripe confirms the payment.
- Kidilab is based in France. Even though you pay in US dollars, your card issuer may treat the payment as an international transaction and charge a foreign transaction fee; this fee is set by your bank, not by us.
Delivery
Your kit is available for download right after payment. We also send a download link to the email address used for the order. You can download your kit as many times as you need while it is kept on our systems (see our Privacy Policy for how long). If a download does not work, contact us and we will help.
Refunds
Because the kit is a personalized digital product delivered right away, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds. If you have a problem with your kit, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
Your license
We keep all rights in the kit, its texts, illustrations and games, and in our website. When you buy a kit, we give you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to:
- download the kit and print as many copies as you need for your own family or party;
- give printed invitations to your guests.
You may not:
- sell, share, publish or distribute the kit or its files, in whole or in part;
- use the kit for a paid event or any commercial purpose;
- remove our name or claim the content as your own.
Information you provide
You are responsible for the details you enter. By entering a child’s or guest’s first name, or other party details, you confirm that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or that you have permission to share this information for the party. Do not enter information you are not allowed to share.
Safety during the game
A scavenger hunt is a physical activity. An adult must plan and supervise the game at all times.
- Choose hiding spots that are safe and easy to reach for the children playing. Avoid stairs, roofs, water, roads, sharp objects, cleaning products, electrical outlets and heavy furniture.
- Check that any small objects or treats you hide are suitable for the youngest child present.
- Adapt the activities to the children’s age, abilities and health, and skip any challenge that does not fit your space or group.
- Outdoors, keep children within a safe, closed area and watch for weather, traffic and water.
You are responsible for planning and supervising the game, including where clues and treasures are hidden and which activities the children do. Kidilab does not control how, where or by whom the game is played. Like any active game, a scavenger hunt carries ordinary risks, such as trips and falls; following the safety tips above helps reduce them.
Disclaimer
The kit and the website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by the law of your state, we disclaim all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We work hard to make our content accurate and age-appropriate, but we do not promise that the kit will suit every child, space or party, or that the website will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (such as lost profits or the cost of replacing a party activity), and our total liability for any claim related to a kit or to our website is limited to the amount you paid for that kit, or US$20 if you did not buy one. These limits do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to our gross negligence, willful misconduct or fraud, or to any other liability that the law of your state does not allow us to limit.
Acceptable use of the website
Do not misuse the website. For example, do not try to access other customers’ orders, disrupt the service, send automated requests, or enter content that is unlawful, offensive or not yours to share.
Your rights under state law
Some state laws give consumers rights that a contract cannot take away. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. If you are a New Jersey resident, the “Disclaimer” and “Limitation of liability” sections apply to you only to the extent permitted by New Jersey law.
Disputes and governing law
Contact us first. If you have a concern, email contact@kidilab.com and tell us what you would like us to do. We will try to resolve it within 30 days, and we ask you to give us that time before going to court.
Governing law and courts. These terms and your order are governed by the laws of the US state where you live and applicable US federal law. Any dispute will be heard by the courts that have jurisdiction where you live, including small claims court.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you placed your order applies to that order. The date at the top shows the latest update.
General
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about your order. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
